About this species

The Rusty-Spotted Cat is the world's smallest wild cat — an almost impossibly tiny predator no larger than a domestic kitten. Found in rocky scrubland and dry forest of peninsular India and Sri Lanka. Satpura's rocky outcrops and the scrublands of Gir are among the few locations where this secretive cat is occasionally encountered.
