About this species

The Indian Wolf is one of the world's most genetically distinct wolf subspecies, occupying the open grasslands and scrub of central and peninsular India. Smaller than northern wolves, it hunts in small packs targeting deer and blackbuck. Velavadar, Rollapadu, and the Deccan plateau grasslands are the best places to encounter this highly endangered predator. Track Indian Wolves on India's grasslands.
