About this location
Maharashtra's finest tiger reserve and one of India's hottest big cat photography destinations. The dry teak forest and Tadoba lake provide excellent open sightlines, and tigers around Tadoba and Kolsa ranges are among the most photographed in the country.

Safari Zones
Tadoba is organised into four safari zones, each with core gates and several buffer gates — 6 core and 17 buffer gates in all. Core gates give access to the national park itself; buffer gates cover the forest around it, with good sightings and easier permit availability. Book on the Maharashtra forest department's official portal; the core closes on Tuesdays and for part of the monsoon.

Moharli, the busiest entry, is about 35 km from Chandrapur and ~140 km (~3 hours) from Nagpur via Warora. Kolara is on the northern side (~110 km from Nagpur via Chimur), and Navegaon and Pangdi–Zari are on the western and southern sides.
