About this location
A Ramsar Wetland at the Pong Dam reservoir on the Beas river, one of north India's most important wintering grounds for migratory waterfowl. Bar-headed geese, Eurasian cranes, and a rich diversity of ducks arrive from Central Asia each winter, attracting birdwatchers from across the region.
