About this location
Remote rainforest national park at the southern end of Great Nicobar Island, protecting one of the last undisturbed lowland forest tracts in India. Home to the giant leatherback sea turtle nesting beach and a remarkable assemblage of endemic Nicobar island species.

By Air
Fly into Port Blair, the only practical air gateway to the islands; onward travel to Great Nicobar is by ship or, occasionally, helicopter.

There is no railway in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
By Road
Galathea lies in the south of Great Nicobar, beyond Campbell Bay. After the ship from Port Blair to Campbell Bay, the park is reached along the island's main north–south road and then on foot. Tribal-area permits are mandatory and foreign nationals are generally not allowed.
