By Air
Fly into Port Blair (Veer Savarkar International Airport), the only practical air gateway to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Limited inter-island helicopter services to Campbell Bay exist but are prioritised for residents.
By Rail
There is no railway in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam are the mainland ports/airports travellers usually connect through.
By Road
Campbell Bay on Great Nicobar is reached by government passenger ship from Port Blair (sailings are infrequent and take well over a day). The Nicobar group is a tribal reserve: Indian nationals need a permit from the A&N administration and foreign nationals are generally not allowed. Inside the park, access is on foot with forest-department permission.
