About this location
Rising to 365m above Port Blair, Mount Harriet is the highest peak in South Andaman and protects diverse tropical evergreen forest. Excellent for endemic Andaman species birding, with stunning panoramic views across the island chain.

Take the short vehicle ferry from Chatham jetty (Port Blair) to Bambooflat, then drive about 7 km up to the Mount Harriet (now Mount Manipur) summit — the whole trip is about an hour. The longer all-road route around the harbour is ~50 km.
