About this location
A roughly 85km stretch of the Ganga between Brijghat and Narora, this is one of the few Ramsar sites in India defined by a flowing river rather than a fixed lake or marsh — protecting sandbanks and channels that support gharial, river dolphins, and dense waterbird colonies.
