A coastal lagoon wetland straddling Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Pulicat is India's second-largest brackish lagoon and a vital overwintering ground for flamingos, ducks, and waders. The shallow waters at dawn with flocks of flamingos in flight are a classic South India bird photography scene.
